Unforgettable Day For Semex in Germany
Article posted on February 5, 2010, 15:14:11

noneDuring the 34th Black and White Days in Osnabrueck, Germany last weekend, Semex Deutschland presented Buckeye and Talent daughter groups. Both groups left an excellent impression on the audience with great comments from the visitors to the display.

First used as a production improver and calving ease sire, 0200HO04779 R-E-W Buckeye is now a sire of sons in Germany. With more than 18,000 daughters worldwide in the recent January proof round, Buckeye added an impressive 9 RZG points on the German base with more than 1,000 daughters in Germany. Buckeye has become known as THE bull when it comes to functionality and longevity.

The Buckeye daughter group was very impressive for visitors and Semex staff, as the owners continuously told us they are very satisfied with their daughters and continue to use him. The German Buckeye daughters are youthful young cows with great feet & legs and good rumps. They milk extremely well from soft, well-attached udders. The six daughters displayed showed beautiful, quality udders, clean bones with excellent rumps.

0200HO07030 Ladino Park Talent *RC daughters were extremely impressive, showing why breeders worldwide have continued to use Talent, propelling him to Millionaire Sire status with more than 50,000 daughters in 19 countries. At the end of the show, two Talent daughters won the daughter group competition as Champion and Reserve Champion. Talent Lisa was Champion and Reserve went to RH Talent Maxima.

In the Open Show, one Braedale Goldwyn and two 0200HO01406 Emerald-ACR-SA T-Dereks were champions. A fine two-year old Derek daughter, KJH Derek Emma, won the Junior in Milk competition. Emma was praised by the judge for her overall balance, high and wide rear udder and tremendous rump width.

Intermediate Champion was KHH Goldwin Heidegold. Her style and size placed her over the Reserve Intermediate Champion, another Derek daughter, KJH Derek Indiana. Besides two class winners by Derek, Goldwyn had two winners and two second places and TCET Lyster had one class winner.

It was a tremendous day for Semex. Not only with the successful daughter group presentation, but also with the success in the open show.
