Semex sires continued to dominate the all-important high LPI Jersey list following the December genetic evaluations in Canada, with five of the top 10, 11 of the top 20 and 16 of the top 30 sires being 200JE sires.

Adding over 100 new daughters to his production proof and maintaining his rank as the #1 LPI sire in Canada, is Semex's 0200JE00314 Hollylane Lilibet's Legacy at +1814. This Master Series™ sire surpasses all his competitors by combining high production, superior conformation and impressive functional traits in one package. His additional status as both a high fertility Repromax™ and Health$mart™ sire add to his worldwide popularity.

With small gains in fat and protein yields and overall conformation, the second highest LPI from the August 2010 summaries, 0200JE00946 Sunset Canyon Dice, maintains his ranking in the breed, but has jumped 78 points to +1655 for LPI. Already a Semex sire of sons, this component specialist displays very convincing ratings through the mammary system, as well as for daughter calving ability and somatic cell scores.

Popular August 2009 graduate, Designer Series™ and Repromax™ sire 0200JE00430 Lencrest On Time maintains his position among the top 10 LPI sires, coming in at #8 in the breed with an LPI of +1260. On Time's oldest daughters are developing well in their second lactations, with some very impressive second crop calves having been spotted recently.

Second crop veteran sire, 0200JE00303 SHF Centurion Sultan (Repromax™, Designer Series™, Master Series™) and 0200JE00323 RJF Big Show (Health$mart™) have maintained their positions in the top 20 of the breed for LPI, at +1080 and +1038 respectively, while adding large numbers of daughters. Returned to service in early 2008, Repromax™ sire 0200JE00423 Lencrest Blackstone is another active Semex sire placing in the top 20 with an LPI of +1034. Many daughters of this second crop sire are calving in late 2010 and early 2011, with many positive results to date.

The breed's conformation leader through all four genetic evaluations in 2010, Designer Series™ and Repromax™ sire 0200JE00427 Select-Scott Minister, continues his reign on top of the breed at +13 Conf with well over 100 daughters classified.

Newly proven sire 0200JE00438 Hautpre Francis, is a son of Semex great, Willoa Laser. From a Montana dam, Francis is the highest LPI Semex new release at +936 LPI. Francis is a Repromax™ sire with particular strengths in milk yield, dairy strength, stature and overall conformation.
