Article posted on April 20, 2011, 16:51:08

noneSemex is pleased to announce that Robert McRae has been appointed to the role of Vice President, Global Operations.

Reporting to Paul Larmer, Chief Executive Officer, Robert will join the Semex Executive Management team, leading the Global Operations strategy for Semex.

“Robert’s depth of experience in financial analysis, global operations, and knowledge of our partner operations, suit this role perfectly,” says Larmer. “I am thrilled to have Robert join Semex and our executive management team in his new leadership role to further develop and implement Semex’s global operations strategy while furthering Semex’s industry leading quality standards. As we grow our international presence and operations, Robert’s skill set will serve Semex and its members well.”

Currently, Robert is Finance and Operations Manager at Eastern Breeders Inc., where he has been responsible for finance, IT, semen production and distribution since 2008. Presently, Robert is actively involved in transitioning EBI finance and operations functions as part of the Gencor/EBI merger. Robert will participate in Semex activities as time allows over the next couple months until complete transition as of August 1, 2011.

Prior to joining Eastern Breeders Inc., Robert worked in the high tech industry as corporate controller for Zarlink Semiconductor Inc in Ottawa, Ontario, where he was involved in both domestic and international assignments. Robert’s background and experience within the Semex family, coupled with his finance and international operations experience make him an ideal fit for Semex.
