Semex Cycling Team Rides Again!

A group of cycling enthusiast from Semex Holland get together each year to ride the '11-Cities Tour' on Whit-Monday. Between 5am and 8am, over 13,000 people joined the 2011 edition of the tour, covering 240 kms through 11 Frisian cities in the Northern part of Holland.

The 'Semex Cycling Team' took part with seven riders. The team included Semex Breeding Specialists Wieger Lei, Wim Kiers, Nico Dierickx (from Belgium) and Richard de Vries as well as Dutch dairy farmers Jan Schouten and Winfried Kompier. Christiaan Heijink, Area Sales Manager from Swissgenetics, came over all the way from Switzerland to join the team.

The Semex Cycling Team jerseys are eye-catching and attracted a lot of attention along the road. All team members completed the tour, although the weather conditions were terrible! While an exhausting tour, finishing together was reward enough for the team. Food and drinks were supplied by colleagues, friends and family along the route.

Thanks to this excellent support the team can look back on a successful tour and proved once again that Semex Works Everywhere!
