Semex Embryos is pleased to announce that it exported 4,890 dairy embryos in 2010. Based on the recent annual report by the Canadian Embryo Transfer Association, this represents 60% of all Canadian dairy embryos exported and is a 7.1% increase over Semex's exported percentage in 2009.
"We're extremely pleased to be working on behalf of Canadian producers, exporting a diverse range of embryos worldwide," says Dann Brady, Manager International Embryo Sales, Semex. "We deal with a large number of countries, each having specific requirements. Some are looking for pedigree, others want high genomics, high production or show cows. We're fortunate that our Canadian producers can supply embryos for all of these diverse markets."
"Semex continues to see growth in our embryo exports. The partnerships we have with the Canadian breeders and the alliances we have with our international distributors allow Semex to be the key point for embryo buyers around the world."
