Most dairymen agree that the goal is to have cows pregnant by 100 days in milk (DIM). For this to happen, you need to have an excellent pregnancy rate, good conception and great insemination rates. And, to average 100 DIM the majority of cows have to become pregnant between 70 and 130 DIM. This means there's just four estrous cycles to get a cow pregnant.
