Mapel-Wood Scott (Goldwyn x Champion x CB Allen) aAa 654 132 Mapel-Wood Allen Diamonds var i sin tid en af de mest imponerende avlskøer fra CB Allen. Ikke mindst var hendes sublime afstamning grunden til, at hun var meget populær som avlsko. Allen Diamonds flyttede i 2005 fra Mapel-Wood i Ontario, Canada, til Morsan i Alberta, Canada, for at fortsætte arbejdet med en imponerende karriere. I det år, hvor moren flyttede til Alberta, blev Goldwyn-sønnen Scott født ved Len Vis på Mapel-Wood. I mellemtiden har Scott fået avlsværdital efter 119 døtre med en sikkerhed på 94 %. Den avlsmæssige ydelse viser et stabilt niveau på næsten + 800 kg mælk og plus i fedt og protein. Sammen med meget solide eksteriørtal, baseret på 109 døtre, får Scott topkarakterer for holdbarhed og celletal. Scott skiller sig dog markant ud fra alle sine brødre på sin aAa analyse, det er nemlig 654 132. Scott er således meget velegnet til åbne køer med fx begrænsninger i krydskonstruktionen af omdrejere, som ikke er placeret inden for hoften og har en decentral placering mellem hoften og sædebenet. 6-tallet i aAa’s analyse af disse køer giver en nemmere produktion, og balancen (som 5-tallet står for) og ekstra power (4-tallet) er ekstremt brugbare til mange malkekøer. As summer's heat strikes much of North America, dairymen are looking for ways to ensure they're not missing heats and increasing costly days open. The Dueppengiessers of western New York installed Semex's ai24™ heat detection system in May 2010 with the goal of increasing pregnancy rates. Since installing, they've realized many other benefits. “We are able to check on cows before they go off feed and come down with mastitis.
